Khubchandani, a Ball State University community health education professor, looked at a thousand people around Muncie.

He found that people are spending more than two hours a day watching TV and using smart phones or other technology. This high gadget use is having unhealthy effects in return.
Khubchandani told Fox 59 news, "It becomes a vicious cycle. The more you sit and use phones and computers the more likely you're gaining weight, and then the more likely you are depressed, you stay lonely and continue to gain weight."
